Focus and Scope

Mutamayyiz: Journal of Islamic Studies focuses on the publication of high-quality scholarly works that advance the study of Islam through interdisciplinary, integrative, and contextual approaches. The journal aims to serve as an academic platform for researchers, scholars, and practitioners to explore, analyze, and develop Islamic knowledge in both classical traditions and contemporary contexts, while promoting moderate, inclusive, and critical perspectives.

The scope of the journal encompasses a wide range of topics in Islamic Studies, including Islamic Education, Islamic Law (Sharia), Qur’anic Studies and Tafsir, Hadith Studies, Islamic Theology and Thought, Islamic Economics and Finance, Sufism and Islamic Spirituality, as well as Islamic Social and Cultural Studies. In addition, the journal welcomes contributions that address contemporary issues such as globalization, technology, environment, gender, and interreligious relations from an Islamic perspective. The journal particularly encourages studies that bridge classical Islamic scholarship with modern challenges and contribute to the development of relevant and applicable Islamic knowledge in today’s world.
