Publication Ethics
Mutamayyiz: Journal of Islamic Studies is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This journal follows ethical guidelines in accordance with internationally recognized standards to ensure the integrity, transparency, and quality of scholarly publishing.
Authors are required to submit original works that have not been published or are not under consideration elsewhere. All sources must be properly cited, and plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited. Authors must ensure the accuracy of data presented in their manuscripts and avoid fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation. Any potential conflicts of interest must be clearly disclosed. Authors are also responsible for obtaining necessary permissions for the use of copyrighted materials.
Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the validity, significance, and originality of the manuscript, without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or institutional affiliation. Editors must ensure a fair and unbiased review process, maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts, and avoid conflicts of interest in handling submissions.
Reviewers contribute to the decision-making process by providing objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of manuscripts. They must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents, avoid using unpublished materials for personal advantage, and disclose any conflicts of interest that may affect their review. Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited and report any suspected ethical issues, including plagiarism or duplication.
The journal ensures that all submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process and that ethical considerations are strictly maintained throughout the publication process. Any cases of ethical misconduct will be handled in accordance with established guidelines, including retraction or correction of published articles when necessary. The journal is dedicated to promoting academic integrity and contributing to the advancement of knowledge in Islamic Studies.
